Homework: Daily Bar Chart all the usual suspects, FX and their crosses, commodities, indexes and equities, plus bonds. Check for Patterns and gaps; what sort are they by now? You should have a good feel for moving averages (MA) convergence, divergence, resistance, and support levels with MA and Trend Lines, as well as looking for possible breakouts to a new support or resistance level

Study your charts: First trade options, then futures, then the physical. Remember, some financial instruments can possibly move in the opposite direction or are a hedge; learn about hedging your trade.

Do your homework on traded options with charts. I will not tell you to buy puts (the right to sell) or buy calls (the right to buy); that’s your decision. Nothing less than one- to three-month or at-the-money straddles is a volatility trade, but you have to judge which financial instrument or market will be volatile. By now, you should be experienced traders, and if not, paper trade. Know your maximum losses; remember the only thing guaranteed is death and taxes.
