What will you trade? Gold surprised us all and came off heavery normally a safe haven in times of war it has, over the last few years, had a good rally, so maybe investors are selling the shiny metal to pay for trades in other markets. What are you going to trade? Equities seem to be in a corrective cycle. Bonds, there is so much debt around. Is it healthy? What are the spreads? If and when will the property bubble burst in the USA? Is cash king? Should you be playing the overnight market with deposits or trading currencies, how often are FX crosses out of line with the market?

At times of great volatility, one to three-month at-the-money straddles, where do you see the markets trading over the next one to three months? Would you buy traded options which are calls the right to buy or puts the right to sell? Take a look at your daily bar charts 15, 30, 60 and 100 moving averages are they acting as resistance or support? Where is the 100-day moving average? Are they converging or diverging? Trend lines as resistance and support, would you place your stops at resistance or support levels or your out of the money tradded options? Is the market being squeezed sideways, waiting for a breakout? Patterns, gaps. What sort of gaps are they? Stochastics: Remember to know your downside i.e. your potential loss. Always ask for advice from your broker.

Where do you see inflation going over the next one to three months, given the price of oil and gas? What do you think will be the effect on interest rates?
